3-star hotel in a small fishing port accessible only by boat

(minimum 2 people)

This small fishing port, accessible only by boat, was once a pirate haven known as the ancient Phoenix. Here you will find complete tranquility to relax, read, swim, and stroll. The waters are turquoise and crystal clear. Shuttle boats offer short excursions of a few hours to magnificent nearby beaches. Each hotel has its own small taverna serving traditional cuisine, particularly fish dishes.

Excursions and visits nearby

By taking the waterbus, you can explore the south coast at your leisure (travel up the Samaria Gorge from below, visit Sfakia, Sougia, and Paleochora where you will spend a night) and ancient Lissos, the highlands of the first Cretans, where numerous ruins remain.

Visit Chania

Chania is a city of exceptional cultural and historical interest that remains lively all year round (bars, tavernas, exhibitions, etc.).

Chania, or ‘Hania’ in Greek, is the most picturesque city in Crete, boasting a remarkably well-preserved historic center. Its origins date back to the Minoan era, and traces of the successive Byzantine, Venetian, and Ottoman periods are visible throughout the city. Chania is a charming city, with architectural styles blending East and West: ancient city walls, an old port lined with Venetian-style houses, churches and basilicas, monasteries, a few minarets, and an impressive market all contribute to its uniquely Cretan and oriental atmosphere. It’s a city perfect for strolling through its narrow streets, bursting with flowers and vibrant colors!

À la carte activities

We offer a wide selection of à la carte activities and excursions: visits to monasteries, guided tours of Chania and its contemporary art galleries, visits to the ancient site of Aptera, a gastronomic tour, a day trip to Santorini, a day hike in the Samaria Gorge, and why not opt for a Greek philosophy course if you’re interested (see our Activities section)!
